Panasonic GX1

Hello there!
It's been a long time since I last posted, so let's rewind a bit. I wanted to post some things before I go off to Rye for a week.

WYNNE'S BIRTHDAY
It was my friend Wynne's birthday, and I had no idea what to do for her when an idea popped into my mind rather spontaneously.

I wasn't too sure how it'd turn out since I'd never made something with such a complex shape, getting the head right would be the hardest part.
I can't say I really succeeded.

I do have a lot of work in progress shots, but I think if I include them this post will be too long.
My Appa ended up looking like a sheep.

CAF'S BIRTHDAY
Caf asked me to do something rather embarrassing and I'm going to humiliate her by showing you all.
Sometimes I see artists post guides on the internet but they always look like this to me:

1. Start with a blank piece of paper.

2. Draw a rough guide.

3. Block in details.

4. Add some small details.

I had to increase the contrast a bit so you could see the pencil properly, ahah.
Anyway Judith and I also made her a card. I had a random idea that Judith was super creeped out by, ahahaha.

We had a set of googly eyes and Caf could flip up each picture which had holes cut into it, it was pretty funny. I hope she likes it. She could hang it above her bed and scare off pedos. Not that any would be interested.

I splurged a bit recently and my wallet hates me for it.

I got a hard drive, and some clothes. Also the cutting mat, which is A2. You can pick some up pretty cheap at the Reject Shop but they're not so thick.
I also got a new iPod case since my old one was a bit, er, really ugly.

The iPod touch looks really good without a case, but I just know I'll drop mine and break it forever.

I've forgotten how slim the iTouch is. Mine's the iPod 4th Gen, it's scarily thin and I always feel as if I'm going to snap it in my pocket.

The other day was the AGT (Australia's Got Talent) Melbourne auditions. I was woken up pretty early by a knock on the door.
GUESS WHAT WAS THERE.

The camera I'd ordered online arrived, and in time for Rye as well! SO EXCITING. I did a little spastic dance around my room before opening it.

Lots of bubblewrap.

YAYERS.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to play with it as I had to leave for AGT. I've taken a few photos since, I guess I'll be able to familiarise myself with it more at Rye.

Time to go pack.

Happy Chinese New Year

It's the Year of the Dragon or something.
Since it was Chinese New Year, on Sunday my mum thought it would be a good idea check out the festival in Springvale in 35° heat.

I was hoping I could eat a lot of festival food, but it was kinda on the expensive side...$5 for a small skewer of meat? Those Dippin' Dots cost 5 bucks as well, I only bought them because it was so hot.

My mum bought this Vietnamese bread roll thing, it's called bánh mì and it's delicious.
I didn't get to eat it though, as my dad picked me up to go over to Gran's for their CNY celebration.
I love Chinese New Year.

yay money.

Well, this blog entry's a bit short so have some things.

The ninja lady is from a dream I had. It doesn't look anything like what she looked like in my dream. Or maybe it does. I don't remember her face, it's a bit of a fuzz.
Hey look I made a GIF!

Hahaha.
